Drole De Monsieur : Straight from the French Riviera

Since 2014, Drôle de Monsieur – mostly known through his motto « Not From Paris Madame » – has come a long way in the streetwear bubble. From Japanese loose cuts through the sole Californian vibe of San Francisco, the label from Dijon has brought out different universes in the making of its collections over the years. But this season, it emphasizes a homecoming by paying tribute to its roots in the French Riviera.

The Prestige of France

This year, DDM takes you on a trip alongside the Mediterranean Sea. To that end, creators Maxime Schwab and Dany Dos Santos recall the origins of their brand with a versatile lookbook. Made in retro style, the whole collection gives a fresh touch to the label’s portfolio and reminds the essence of vacation in the South France, the unique scent of lavender and the luxury sand colour villa at the shoreline. Designed with floral patterns, art prints, pastel tints, graphics and different textures, the new capsule gives all the alternatives for summer tones and needs. – Ideal for an afternoon walk at the beach or a sunset dinner next to the swimming pool. – In keeping with its French roots, Drole de Monsieur has also decided to update the appellation of the future lines. Henceforth, starting from next season, all the garments will be named after francization. In witness whereof, the « Made in France » will be completely brought to light.

Simultaneously, Spring/Summer 2021 does not forget about the brand’s essentials and classics. In fact, it still offers the NFPM t-shirt in various colours as well as the timeless slogan embroidered hoodie.
